Day 7: Taste the fruit of Christian sisterhood!

Today's reading — Ephesians 4:1-16

An oft-quoted section of the Bible is in this selection, or at least an oft-referred to concept. That is that we are all one part in the body of Christ. In verse 11, some are apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists and some to be pastors and teachers.

Together, we work to build up the body of Christ, from verse 12.

How do we do this?

As girls, sometimes we really struggle with this — the "together" part, that is. We bicker, we fight, we compete, we berate one another. Even the most righteous girls can struggle to work together toward one goal.

But the bottom line is, we CAN work together as Christians. All of us. Using our gifts. To serve Him. Mighty Strong Girls has shown me this — for the more you lean on God, on the supernatural, on prayer and on making your will the will of God, the easier this becomes! Then we can sit back and enjoy the fruits of Christian sisterhood. And believe me when I say this fruit is SO SWEET and delightful! No experience compares to building up your sisters in Christ. You become more and can do more than you possibly could on your own!

Before you can taste this fruit, though, gather up some tools. Early on in this selection, before he mentions the one body of Christ, Paul writes that we must be "completely humble and gentle, patient and bearing with one another in love, from verse 2. We must be bonded in PEACE, dear Mighty Strong Girl sisters! As believers, it's essential that we are unified.

Grab your tools and get ready to sample the fruit!
